Become a Writer
Right now, I am looking for people to help provide more articles on Tips for Hockey. If you are passionate about hockey or own a hockey related website, you are allowed to post on Tips for Hockey.
Why Become a Writer?
- Allowed to link to your own website
- Allows you to establish credibility as a writer
- It’s just plain fun
- Share your knowledge of hockey with other hockey fans
- Help establish and grow the Tips for Hockey community to other fans
Registration
Right now, I use Wordpress to blog on this website. I love Wordpress and I don’t have any intention of changing any time soon (not to mention it’s free). Registration is done through Wordpress who will not share or sell any of your information.
They will provide you with a password that you can use to log on and you will be able to post whatever hockey related material you want. Unfortunately, I haven’t figured out how to automatically add people as writers. Before you post, you will have to wait for me to change your role.
However, you should follow some of the basic rules that I have below.
Rules of the Website (Comments, Posts, and Other Things You Should Know but People do Anyway)
- You must be at least 13 years old to post and if you are above 13 but less than 18 you must have your parent’s consent.
- There is no guarantee that your post will stay up. Your post may be taken down for any reason.
- Keep the profanity down, preferably to nothing.
- You may not bash any group of people because of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or anything else along those lines. Keep the discussion focused on hockey.
- You may link to your own website, just make sure that you do it either at the bottom of the article or the top, don’t put a link in the content unless it relates to the article in some way.
- This website may not be used for any illegal purposes at all. Period.
- You may not promote any illegal activities
- Do not send Spam emails to other users
- You are not allowed to obtain email addresses from this website unless it is given to you by the person you will be emailing.
- You also acknowledge that all work you publish is your own. Tips for Hockey is not responsible for the republishing of other material.
Basically, I like to give writers a good long leash. As long as you respect the site and the readers, you will be respected.
You may register via the link below or above and remember, have fun and talk hockey.
