NHL Head Shots – Are the GM’s Decisions Enough?

Mar 10th, 2010 | By admin

It seems like we’re hearing about a head shot all the time. In fact, the whole thing is becoming pretty routine. We see the shocking hit for the first time, the hockey analysts give their opinions on it, and then the league gives their opinion.
Unfortunately, when the NHL gives its opinion on a hit, they do it [...]

SITE UPDATE: Get More Updates with my Facebook Group

Mar 10th, 2010 | By admin

After a few months of sitting here trying to figure out whether or not I wanted a Facebook group, I decided that it was time to make one. Before now, I haven’t really given people a lot of options for subscribing. The only option that I have consistently used is the RSS Feed, and not [...]

Detroit Red Wings – A Playoff Ponder

Mar 8th, 2010 | By admin

With all of the playoff speculation floating around, there is a general consensus about the Detroit Red Wings. Most people believe that the Wings will make the playoffs, but some have argued otherwise. Here are the reasons that I believe the Wings will be seen in the post-season.

The Detroit Red Wings have suffered a lot this year, mostly from injuries. At one point, the Wings had nine of their 18 starters on the injured reserve and were forced into relying on rookies called up from the AHL.

How Chicago Won’t Be Destroyed by Goaltending

Mar 7th, 2010 | By admin

I’ve heard a lot about the Chicago Blackhawks’ goaltending situation. A lot of that is from other writers talking about the goalies, but more recently, from the Vokoun trade rumors that floated around the NHL.
Personally, I think that the rumor was fueled by a bunch of Chicago bloggers that got excited from the speculation thrown around [...]

Penguins vs. Sabres – Rupp Beats up Guastad

Mar 3rd, 2010 | By admin

Although Rupp definitely won the fight, I don’t think it says anything about who’s stronger. It’s very difficult to fight when you have an injured hand, and when Gaustad injured his hand, he no longer had a chance in the fight.

2010 NHL Playoff Predictions: Western Conference

Mar 3rd, 2010 | By admin

With the end of the season quickly approaching, the playoffs have started to come on everybody’s mind. Many teams are currently fighting for a better spot, and some are fighting for a spot at all. These games are the most important games of the entire season. With that said, here are my predictions for the [...]

USA vs. Canada: Gold Medal Predictions

Feb 27th, 2010 | By admin

There’s not much to say about my first medal predictions. Those were pretty much taken away with the first USA vs. Canada game. I had picked Canada to win gold, Russia to win silver, and Sweden to win bronze, but a couple of upsets made that impossible.
But, that’s hockey. It’s very easy to say that [...]

Canada Reels After Loss: Country Forced to Question Gold Medal Hopes

Feb 22nd, 2010 | By admin

Team Canada entered the tournament as a Gold Medal favorite. With a bunch of talent and experience on their roster, most people expected them to glide through the round-robin tournament undefeated. Yes, I am one of those people, I actually predicted them to win the Gold Medal.
Canada’s epic loss to Team USA on Sunday night [...]

Top 5 NHL Players to Watch in the Olympics

Feb 18th, 2010 | By admin

I’ve been writing a lot about the Olympics for the past few weeks. I’ve written articles on this website and other websites which have compared teams, talked about strengths and weaknesses, and even given medal predictions.
However, I haven’t really focused on the players. After all, those are the people that will be representing their countries. [...]
